Lots of Spring Field Trips at Tobin
With the good weather, we love to get our students out of their classrooms for some experiential learning! This year is no exception. We have four field trips planned before the end of our school year – and everyone is excited.

Our Morning Preschool and Morning Pre-Kindergarten classes are heading to the Natick Community Organic Farm for a docent-lead visit with the animals that live there. Spring is baby animal time at the farm, and we are excited to visit with the chickens, goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits–and the baby piglets!
- Thursday, April 26
Thanks to the generosity of one of our Junior Kindergarten parents who works for the Boston Red Sox, we are sending all of our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes to Fenway Park on Thursday, April 26, for a very special tour. Everyone is already talking about this special opportunity – Go Sox!
- Wednesday, May 2
For our annual Nature Day trip, our Morning Pre-Kindergarten, both Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten classrooms are heading to the wonderful Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in South Natick, where we will participate in a special pond study with their staff. We can’t wait to get outside and explore this amazing site.
Our annual all-school field trip to Southwick’s Zoo is coming up on Wednesday, May 16. This trip is always a favorite, and we often have nearly as many adults joining us as children. Southwick’s is New England’s biggest zoo and is the perfect size for a day trip. We know we’ll have lots of pictures to share after this outing.
