The Tobin School

We’re Heading to Natick Community Organic Farm

All-School Field Trip

All of our Tobin School students are taking a field trip to a local treasure–the Natick Community Organic Farm. Our Pre-Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will get to learn about maple sugaring. We’ll visit a tapped tree, identify sugar maples, sample some sap, talk about the science of maple sugaring, and visit the sugar shack. We’ll also explore the history of maple sugaring and see tools used in the process. After learning about maple sugaring, these students will have a chance to visit the animals at the farm. Our Morning Preschoolers will be joining us for this trip, but will only do a tour of the farm and a visit with the animals. Hoping for good weather for this special farm visit.
